Recommended Readings (on reserve)
You do not need to purchase these books to excel in the Senior Sequence. Becker (1998) has some handy tips in it. Mills (2000) is a classic originally published in 1959; the section describing the "sociological imagination" is especially good. The Chicago Manuel of Style is expensive, but for those of you who intend to do a lot of scholarly writing it is a good investment. It spells out-- in painful detail-- the standards governing scholarly publication.
