Assignment Instructions and Guidelines
Each assignment has a set of instructions and guidelines, including format requirements (for details, click on the assignments in the box below). All four written assignments should be turned in at the beginning of class on the scheduled due date. All internship forms go to Valorie Bruce in SSB 315.

*Extra Credit: You can earn extra credit from your TA by keeping a journal and/or simply working extra hard throughout the quarter --as evidenced by class participation and office hour visits. Although we do not require that you keep a research journal, we strongly recommend it. At the end of USP 187 you will have the option to give us your journal for extra credit consideration.

FORMAT REQUIREMENTS

For consistency we are requiring that all written assignments (style, spelling, usage, references and footnotes) conform to requirements set forth in the Chicago Manual of Style, fifteenth edition (University of Chicago Press 2003). This is what the Journal of Planning Education and Research (JPER) requires. JPER is one of the most respected and authorative journals in the field of urban and regional planning.
